Common questions
GenixBoard
Profit, orders, fees, refunds, inventory, COGS, and dashboard views.
Real profit means SellerGenix combines sales with the cost records that usually live in different places: Amazon fees, refunds, ad spend, storage, fulfillment, promotions, your COGS, and the general expenses you enter. The goal is to show what you actually kept, not just revenue minus a rough percentage.
Open GenixBoard > Products > Product & Other Costs and use the Product costs tab. COGS is your factory or unit cost only; freight, customs, and 3PL or warehouse costs belong in the General expenses tab.
If your supplier cost changed over time, add the new cost with its start date so older orders keep the correct historical cost while new orders use the current one.
Fees can arrive later than the order. When a fee has not posted yet, SellerGenix waits for the authoritative fee record or uses historical ASIN-level fee logic where appropriate. New or low-volume products may need more shipped orders before historical fee coverage is useful.
Refund Intelligence separates return units, refund items, return reasons, and financial impact. A refund count can differ from a unit count because one order may contain multiple products or one return reason may map to a specific line item.
Refunds where the item was not returned are grouped as 'Refund Without Return', separate from customer returns.
Use Tiles for a fast executive snapshot, Chart for trend movement, P&L for finance review, Map for marketplace geography, Trends for longer-term movement, Heatmap for day/time patterns, and Comparison when you want to compare periods side by side.
Inventory changes throughout the day as orders, removals, transfers, and fulfillment center updates land. SellerGenix refreshes inventory on its own cycle, so a small delay is normal. If the gap is large, include the SKU, marketplace, and expected quantity in a ticket.
Open GenixBoard > Products > Product & Other Costs and use the General expenses tab for business costs outside Amazon, such as rent, accounting, software, staff, freight, and customs. Add each one as One-time (a single date) or Every month (a recurring amount). Categories follow the IRS Schedule C lines, and you can attach a receipt of any file type up to 50 MB.
General expenses reduce Net profit across the dashboard. A monthly amount is spread evenly over the days of that month, and when you view a single marketplace, that marketplace's share of sales is used. Amazon fees, Amazon Ads, and COGS are already deducted, so do not enter them here.
Use 'Download ZIP' to get a year's Excel workbook plus every receipt, each named after its expense number (for example EXP-0001). Receipts are kept while your account is open. Download them regularly - the IRS recommends keeping records for up to 7 years.
